The British Urban Film Festival (BUFF) was formed in July 2005 to showcase urban independent cinema in the absence of any such state-sponsored activity in the UK. BUFF is the longest standing black-owned film festival in the United Kingdom.

We focus on his final week of freedom before prison, whilst also covering the events of the March 2021 Kill the Bill protest.

When Sam splits up with her partner, she is forced to move back into her childhood home with her mother and neurodivergent brother. When depression sinks in, her brother Emmett gets in her face trying to cheer her up and in doing so makes everything worse. But when Emmett is confronted with a situation at a baseball game where he is called a chicken, Sam rises to the challenge to come to his aid and is reminded of what is truly important.

A London Boy In Ukraine

Last year, myself and my presenter took a week out of University to travel to the frontline of the Ukraine/Russia war. Our aim was to produce a documentary which could act as a bridge between our peer groups (who we felt had very limited understanding of the war) and the Ukrainian people being most affected by the conflict. However, once out there we realised how underprepared and naive we had been.
