Jubb’s comedy club was created in loving memory of our bar manager’s cat who sadly passed away recently. To cheer her up, we decided to bring the hottest comedy talent on the scene today to Square Chapel, including some well-known faces as well as stars of the future!

Each show will host a range of comedy styles from professional comics regularly playing clubs across the UK, some of whom are familiar faces on TV. *In association with Cat & Stick Comedy

Eddy Midgley (Host) “A cheeky, wonderfully engaging delivery mixed with excellent writing and quick thinking. A future star.” Top Notch Comedy
“This cheerful and happy looking comic gave an engaging performance that everyone enjoyed. A fast moving set and he built up a lot of momentum. The makings of a formidable act and his energy fills the room.” NottsComedy Review
“Stunning writing and delivery. Eddy had the audience in the palm of his hands start to finish. Roofed the gig!” TyPawb Comedy Club Wrexham

Opening Act – Sam Serrano
“Sam Serrano is even more lively, with an excitable camp manner that manages to be superior and self-deprecating at the time. That proves an appealing mix in a set that whips through identity issues, such as Serrano’s gender fluidity and how it’s perceived, to Kabuki syndrome, the autism-like condition they have.” – BBC Comedy Festival

As seen on Rosie Jones UKTV disability showcase, Comedy Central Live. 2Northdown’s New Act Finalist 2021, Beat the Frog World Series Finalist 2021, Leicester Square Theatre New Act of the Year Finalist 2019.

1st Middle Act  – Thornley Pogson
Thornley Pogson is a one-of-a-kind comedian who’s not afraid to take risks and deliver the unexpected. With his offbeat storytelling style and sharp wit, Thornley will have you laughing from start to finish. Whether he’s sharing hilarious dirty stories or taking you on a wild tangent.
Thornley’s comedy is always fresh and unpredictable. If you’re looking for a comedy experience that’s as unforgettable as it is hilarious, Thornley Pogson is the comedian for you!

2nd Middle Act – Alfie Carter
Shortlisted BBC New Comedian of the Year 2022 – Winner Beat the Frog (3/4/23)
“One of the most exciting new acts we’ve seen. Genuinely unique, instantly likeable and absolutely hilarious!”The Laughięnda Comedy Club

Headline Act – Pete Selwood
Pete is becoming a very familiar face on the UK comedy circuit. Performing for clubs such as Glee, Last Laugh, Alexanders & Laughterhouse. Pete is now headlining for the likes of Avalon & Off The Kerb.
