Live at Square Chapel is an exciting brand-new monthly comedy club for Square Chapel Arts Centre and features the hottest comedy talent on the scene today, including some well-known faces as well as stars of the future!

Each show will host a range of comedy styles from professional comics regularly playing clubs across the UK, some of whom are familiar faces on TV.

MC: Liam Pickford

Liam has become a circuit favourite and is destined for big things. A highly intelligent writer and fantastic performer who has a unique brand of stand up mixing cleverly hones material with excitingly unpredictable audience interaction.

Open: Hannah Platt

Hannah is a stand-up comedian, writer and Finalist of the BBC New Comedian of the Year Award in 2019. Merseyside-via-Manchester’s finest misanthrope has already been making her mark as a comic, having been described as ‘A voice of a new generation’ by The Skinny and ‘a voice with something to say’ by Chortle, never shying away from sensitive topics with brutal honesty and quick wit. Recently she has been commissioned to make a Laugh Lesson for BBC3 and written on Newsjack for BBC Radio 4. She prides herself on her ability to take difficult and complex topics and turn them into sharp, refreshing gags.

Steve Day is a truly unique comedian – warm, witty and engaging whilst dealing with the dilemmas of being a deaf man in a hearing world. Steve went on his first national tour back in 2006, and has since been performing across the world to critical acclaim. He’s a regular headliner across the UK Comedy circuit.
