Doors openMozart spent a fair proportion of his life touring – playing to dukes and emperors around Europe. Orchestra of Square Chapel’s season features three major cities on his musical journey.
Gaining recognition in Paris was an important target in every musician’s sights, and as a child prodigy Mozart visited Paris in 1763. Fifteen years later he returned, and it was during this stay that he composed his “Paris” Symphony.
Our “Paris” selection is:
● Faure: Pavane
● Bizet: Symphony in C
● Delibes: Suite: Le Roi s’Amuse
● Mozart: Symphony No. 31 (Paris)
