    Graeme Park

    Legendary DJ Graeme Park is an original Hacienda DJ who sells out at venues across the globe! He has spent 30 years on the decks and 20 years on the radio and is still going strong.

    “I have had great nights DJing at both Square Chapel in Halifax and The Old Courts in Wigan. I am excited to become a patron of these two wonderful venues and look forward to working with them in the coming months.” Graeme Park

    Chris Hawkins

    Chris Hawkins presents the daily Early Breakfast show on BBC Radio 6 Music and has interviewed some of music’s biggest stars, including Calvin Harris; The Killers; Florence Welch; Dave Grohl and Jack White. He is a notable champion of 2019 Brits Critics Choice Winner, Sam Fender.

    Reece Dinsdale

    Actor and Director: (Home to Roost,  I.D., Hamlet, Coronation Street, Threads, Emmerdale, Spooks, Life On Mars, Conviction, and Silent Witness)

    I was both honoured and delighted when asked to become a Patron of Square Chapel Arts Centre. Yorkshire has an increasingly strong reputation for championing the arts, and Square Chapel, a hotbed of creative activity right at its centre, has, for many years, more than played its part. As an actor, director, Yorkshireman and lover of ‘owt arty’, I am thrilled to be invited to play even a small role in helping its reputation grow and hopefully enhancing further still the cultural lives and experiences of the people it serves.     Natalie who is from West Yorkshire, studied at Leeds Intake Performing Arts College following a Bachelor of the arts degree in Drama and Theatre studies with an outstanding achievement award at Huddersfield University.

    Actor: (Doctor Who, Shaun of the Dead, The History Boys, Calendar Girls, The BFG, The Borrowers and Downton Abbey).

    Darren Jeffries

    Warringtonian Darren Jeffries began acting professionally aged 15, after a performance in Warrington’s Parr Hall led him to his first role in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks. As prominent cast member Sam ‘OB’ O’Brien, he remained on the show for a further ten years. He has since performed on stage at various theatres across the UK including Manchester’s HOME, Bolton’s Octagon Theatre and Square Chapel Arts Centre in Halifax, alongside various TV roles. Jeffries also runs film and acting workshops for anyone wanting to get into the stage and screen acting industry.

    Lucy Beaumont

    The award-winning Yorkshire comedian, Lucy Beaumont, is a hugely talented comedy actress and writer. She is the writer and star of BBC Radio 4’s To Hull and Back which aired its third series in early 2018. The radio sitcom also stars Maureen Lipman and Norman Lovett.

    Dame Carol Ann Duffy, (born December 23, 1955, Glasgow, Scotland), British poet whose well-known and well-liked poetry engaged such topics as gender and oppression, expressing them in familiar, conversational language that made her work accessible to a variety of readers. In 2009–19 she served as the first woman poet laureate of Great Britain.
