Our Public Spaces

    Red Brick Auditorium

    Seating up to 240 people, this auditorium sits within our beautiful Grade II* listed red brick Georgian Chapel and is used for talks, theatre, music performances, film screenings and more. Standing gigs have a capacity of 400. It’s called Red Brick Auditorium because it sits within our red brick chapel building.

    Copper Auditorium

    Seating just under 100 people, our Copper auditorium is the screen we use for most of our cinema programme. We are a DCI (digital cinema initiatives) compliant cinema which uses the highest quality projector and 5.1 digital sound. Our Copper auditorium also doubles up as a stunning and intimate studio space for performances. This space is names Copper Auditorium because it sits within the new part of our building in the copper box.

    Cornerstone Room

    We have a fully accessible, self-contained meeting room for community groups, professionals and individuals to use. Our flexible space is perfect for you to explore arts and culture professionally. This dedicated space is perfect for rehearsals, choirs, developing an idea, to host a team building day or to meet up with your team and associates. Whether you’re interested in weekly meets, networking events or if you just need a welcoming neutral location for an hour or two this is the space for you. We can provide what you need from a specially configured furniture arrangement to a simple empty room. With various catering options we can deliver the wraparound to make your visit productive and enjoyable.

    The Old Courts, Wigan

    The Old Courts is based in the heart of Wigan centre. The Old Courts team understand the incredible importance of the Arts – not simply for entertainment, but as the fundamental threads in the fabric of everyday life.

    Royal Court Theatre

    Having purchased this magnificent gem at auction, we now aim to restore and reinstate The Royal Court Theatre as a vibrant epicentre of theatre, music, dance, comedy and belonging.

  • Wigan Pier

    Working in collaboration with Step Places, Wigan Council and Canals Rivers Trust we are transforming the iconic Wigan Pier in to a food hall, events venue and cultural education spaces.

    The Grand Hotel

    The facility will be used as a mixed-use development hub focussing on support and incubation of early career and developing creative and social enterprises. The facility will feature hot-desking, shared offices and private offices as well as purpose-built studios for digital creatives, a cafe and of course hotel bedrooms. It is hoped that the facility will house up to 200 individuals from various creative industries.
