After what seems like an eternity we are delighted to be nearing our re-opening. As the time approaches to welcome audiences back or indeed for the first time, we are listening carefully to public opinions. Coupled with the knowledge and experience of our dedicated team we have listened to feedback from a huge number of people who have kindly given their time to complete our online survey, attend one of our public consultations or meet us for a socially-distanced chat.
We understand who our audience was in the past and with our vision and community input, we feel confident we now know our future audience too. We are keen to understand any barriers to participation and enjoyment of the arts to ensure that Square Chapel represents the same positive experience to all. It’s crucial we don’t act on assumptions. So far the feedback has been plentiful and honest and the next steps will be to speaking to people from all walks of life in order for us to develop a truly diverse arts centre. Listening to the people that matter the most will be ingrained in the decisions we make so look out for further consultation opportunities to have YOUR say.
