Doors openBBC Radio 1 is heading to Halifax for an amazing night of live music, with performances from Eden Rain, South Arcade, Bea and her Business and this year’s winner of the Mercury Music Prize – English Teacher.
The event will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1, BBC Sounds and on BBC iPlayer.
You need to be aged 18 or over to attend this event. You will be asked for photographic ID at the entrance. Acceptable forms of ID are a valid passport, national identity card, valid driving license, student card, UK citizen card.
No external food or drinks are allowed inside the venue.
Please note that this is a standing-only event; no seating will be available.
There is no cloakroom available at the venue. Only one small bag (max A4 size) per person is permitted into the venue. Any large bags or suitcases cannot be stored or taken into the venue.
BBC Radio 1 and Square Chapel are committed to making Radio 1’s New Music Live Halifax an accessible event.
Please take note of the pre-existing facilities at Square Chapel for this event; there are Changing Places facilities and an additional access toilet on the ground floor. There are two lifts in the building to take you from the main level to the ground level and back.

• There will be no public parking at the site, so please avoid driving.
• We aim to recycle as much as possible from the event, and you have a part to play in this. Please look out for opportunities to recycle at the venue.
