Award winning fiddle player and singer Tom McConville is internationally renowned for his fiery, heart-stopping performances.

Winner of the BBC Folk Musician of the Year in 2009, he is truly the most original fiddle player in the UK. Blending traditional music from his hometown of Newcastle with Irish, American and Scottish influences, he creates a sound that has jazz, folk, bluegrass and classical influence. His live performances are a roller coaster of musical delights; fast rhythmic dance tunes through beautiful slow airs and of course great singing – all presented with his inimitable sense of humour and style.

Seth Lakeman and Kate Rusby count him as a huge influence. Indeed, it was Seth who presented Tom with his Musician of the Year award. Michael is a multi-instrumentalist originally from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne but now residing in Glasgow. He currently plays and tours with TRIP, The Canny Band, Tom McConville, Northern Company and Irish Celtic – Spirit of Ireland Dance Show. In January, Michael became BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year for 2021.

Together on Fiddle, Piano and vocals they are very special indeed. Audiences are treated to a night of virtuosic playing and singing combined with Tom’s well-known humour and sense of fun. A marvellous evening of music and entertainment. Top Class!

“One of the greatest violinists I’ve ever heard and by far the biggest influence in my music. A true Master”Seth Lakeman
