Doors openA pageant of photos of old Halifax trams, from their origin in 1898 through to their demise in 1939. They came in many shapes and sizes, and from time to time there were serious accidents, especially on steep slopes, and we have photos of several. See how chaotic the streets appeared with other traffic alongside the trams. Hear about the Skircoat Green cut, view pictures taken inside the tram-sheds and when tramlines were being re-laid, and see how the vehicles were decked out for special occasions.
Ticket income from David Glover’s Illustrated Local History talks goes directly into supporting Square Chapel.
